[While your team tries to figure out what just happened (or waits for something to happen if they were already inside), great ghostly wolves form themselves out of the shadows and mist of the deeper forest. They set themselves down at the edge of the clearing your cabin is in, watching with hungry, predatory looks. These are no simple wolves either: they're huge creatures the size of a large pony.

The presence returns again, curious as ever. It pulls your attention to the wolves outside, as if it wasn't there already. Curious, curious, what will you do with them? There's a sudden, very distinct knowledge that they will attack. They will fight to get into the cabin unless you send them elsewhere. Of course . . . you could simply allow them to struggle against the defenses you've built up, but is it enough to hold them off? It doesn't seem impossible that they might break through . . . Will it be enough to hold off any other beasts sent to your team? If you start to wonder about what they'll do if they get in, an uneasy, heavy feeling of dread floods the area from the mysterious presence; it doesn't seem like it will be anything good.

[Takes a deep, shaky breath, trying to stay calm, to not throw up at the thought of doing this.]

[It's not a lie that she'd rather die than hurt somebody else, but she values her life—other people value her life, too, and she's scared.

Scared to die.

Scared to kill somebody else.

Either way, it's terrifying.

But she has to choose something.]

H-Hah . . . if Ch—Cherry and Mochi were here, t-this wouldn't be a question of . . . of do or don't.

[Tilts her head back, closing her eyes tightly.]

[SO.

What if.

I take the knife at my waist.]

[CLING TO IT REALLY SUPER TIGHTLY FOR A MINUTE.]

[ . . . And sets it on the ground in front of her. Counts back from ten, and spins it hard.]

T-Towards is me, away is . . .

[The knife spins. Spins, spins, spins on, and Coco doesn't look away. Doesn't blink.]

Them . . .

[She says nothing.]

[Scoops the blade up gently, and just. Stares at it for a moment.]

[ . . . Before quietly tucking it into her belt.]

[Not very popular, are you? The wolves outside have doubled in number, and while some of them are slowed down by the jagged tripwire and shards scattered on the ground outside it isn't getting nearly all of them. Berry can hear their pained yelps as they begin to charge the door, slipping into the trench in front of it as they work on battering it down. It doesn't sound like it will take them long to get in.]

[READIES HER SUPPLIES. Got her knife, got her impromptu slingshot-esque weapon and her flaming bricks, and her pots and pans. >8U!11

Waiting and trying super hard not to panic.]

[She certainly does slow them down notably, but one or two still rush through the onslaught to sink their teeth into whatever is closest :)]

[It jerks its heard with a pained yelp, tearing at her leg before it lets go. That is not going to be a pretty wound. :')]

[The rest of the pack surges forward undaunted now that she's stopped throwing the entire contents of the cabin at them, all hungry snarls and wicked teeth. And then . . .

. . . They fade back into mist. The cabin door is open and free of wolves.]
