It's just a shadow.

It's a unicorn.

Yesss, yes it is.

[sighs]

In that memory, the rest of my team were unicorns as well. Monoceros, the symbol of the team was one. I'm guessing that's the reasoning behind most of the weird stuff that happened.

. . . What's Monoceros like?

[shrugs]

I don't really remember. The memory was just. . .a bunch of unicorns, basically, with bits and pieces of me interacting with everyone. . .

There were two that stood out though. Almaz. . .I think he was the leader. I trusted him enough. And--[a beat]

Quartz. Actually, this was the second time I remembered him. Funnily enough, he looks a lot like Kit, but he's confirmed it isn't him. I think I was closest to him.

Ah, you mentioned that before . . . Weird. Does Kit know who he is?

Didn't sound like it. He was especially offended when I implied he might be a detective, like Quartz.

. . . He seems to have a thing against detectives.

Maybe it hurts his magician's pride.

And he has a lot of that . . .
