[Today, scaled talons reach out and grab each of the Celestes in turn, pulling them into Dragon's cave. Dragon itself is there, lounging on the floor, the bones of animals strewn all around. It surveys them lazily.]

Celeste. I have a proposition for you.

What kind of proposition are we talking about?

I was ruminating on the last competition, and I began to think about how the lot of you didn't stand much of a chance at that time. Perhaps we can change that the next time around.

[pchaaair]

... We can?

I-- er, how?

[virgitarian]

That's a good question, isn't it? If you were the dragon, what sort of competition would you run?

[pchaaair]

A competition where people don't become, um, dinner.

[virgitarian]

That part is non-negotiable. A good competition always makes me hungry.

[pchaaair]

Is there a specific kind, that you want to run? Or, is the eating thing, the only thing you care about.

[virgitarian]

Keep it within a few hours. Winners and losers should be easily and objectively discernible. No theater. Particularly not musical theater.

That's... easy enough?

Is there any kind of catch, that we should be aware of?

Make it interesting.

... And, what if it doesn't become interesting enough for you?

When I'm bored, I eat.
