[Today, scaled talons reach out and grab each of the Celestes in turn, pulling them into Dragon's cave. Dragon itself is there, lounging on the floor, the bones of animals strewn all around. It surveys them lazily.]

Celeste. I have a proposition for you.

One: Competitions pique my appetite.

So some team has to end up going down your gullet: rule one. There a rule two, or is that the only important part here?

Two: It cannot be boring. I do not wish to see them dance or recite poetry or sing.

Goes without fucking saying, with that first rule on the table.

I merely wanted to be sure. I know how crafty mammals can be. "I shall tell you the tales of my people," they say, or, "Perhaps a lovely song," and the next thing you know, you're asleep and the princess is gone.

... Or so I have heard from my less-wise dragon friends to whom such things have happened.
