[Today, scaled talons reach out and grab each of the Celestes in turn, pulling them into Dragon's cave. Dragon itself is there, lounging on the floor, the bones of animals strewn all around. It surveys them lazily.]

Celeste. I have a proposition for you.

We single ourselves out. Use it to our advantage, make teams think we might be in charge of more games and wonder if it's worth pissing us off. We play it like another team and nothing about our position changes. Oh, except if it comes out later and we look like hidden moles, in which case we might as well slit our own throats before they get to it.

Mostly right! But two fucking things. A: we have no goddamn guarentee there aren't other teams being given this same goddamn deal. If this isn't exclusive and we try and hold it over them, it could backfire fucking majorly.

And second, we're first on the chopping block when they have to kill someone, but we're getting pity points too. Last game? Just one goddamn set of wolves sent to us, and there were a hell of a lot more that could have sicced them on us. Dor's been out and about, clearly goddamn harmless, if we let people think her puppy-dog eyes are running the show around here after our first few "slip-ups" we might still have a chance. Not to mention we've still got more goddamn useful abilities than any other team I've noticed. Making ourselves valuable to them isn't out of the goddamn picture yet.

We skip the 'Ally with us based on an exclusive deal' and go for alliances? Mix and match. Team up with Celeste, get a nice no conflict deal and you get Dory and Jackal. Fuck with us and we make every game we get a living nightmare for them.

So still in favor of singling us out, and hoping it doesn't ruin the vestiges of advantages we've got? We'll see if we can sell it like that after the game.

Making ourselves valuable based on skills only works until other teams get theirs back. Temporarily it might work, but we'll just be buying time, and if we hit a losing streak because of no allies...

Yeah, we're fucked. So it comes down to this: if you think our position right now is fuckawful we've got nothing to lose, and that we might gain shit by taking the risk.

And we know other teams are hiding shit. We've got no idea what they might be covering up to give themselves an advantage. We'd be betting it all on guessing either way- are we more useful to them as a scapegoat or as a skill set?

And betting on if the Dragon will rat us out or not.

But I want some other fucking team to be the first caught making this deal. Let's force someone else to be visibly hated, if we make ourselves visible we're still not providing an alternate fucking target. We raise ourselves up, we can work on tearing someone else down.

Deal. We look for allies based on skills and pretend to play normally at no risk. See if we can keep the 'nice ones' from making a vote, pretend dormouse and jackal have more sway while seeing if we can get more of these deals.

We get outted, we just go to plan B.

March Hare-san... I don't disagree with your strategy, but you may want to rethink... your reasoning...?

You should know that there are people here more willing to strike out against a threat than to cower from it.

Other teams probably give way more of a fuck about their team. We get into a war of attrition and we can out sadist them, presuming the squeamish cover their eyes.

Ideally, we should still be present, right...? So it won't just look like we may have missed it.

We should keep an eye on it. Pay attention to who picks what regardless of what strategy we're using.

... Speaking of which... what sort of game are we running?

Okay, I think we should pretend to play. There is no reason for us to, er, not pull this off? Because, Bunny can cook, and I would like to hope that all of us are okay at keeping secrets. And, we can ask the Dragon to make us seem like the best, because that is an option, so, we can do that.

Also, I do not think that our reputation is entirely unsalvageable, so, I would prefer to not ruin it worse than we have? And, I think we will be in more danger than anything else, if we put ourselves on the same level as gamerunners, and, there are a lot of people here that are more likely to strike back, rather than do anything else, so, we would be painting an unneeded target on us, that we don't need to have, and will ultimately make things worse.
