[There's a wash basin with a handpump in the kitchen area.]

[to the wash basin! she spreads the feathers and bloody scarf into the basin and begins to pump some water, trying to wash as much blood from them as she can]

[It might take a few rinses to get it all . . . The feathers come clean easily enough, but the blood in the scarf is pretty stubborn about coming out.]

[works hard, kneading the blood out of the cloth as much as she can. . . though she probably doesn't get it all before she gets tired and gives up]

[takes the wet scarf and the feathers to the table, where she lays them all out to dry]

There.

[falls silent and listens carefully to see if she can still hear those voices from earlier]

[They're still there. It sounds like they're coming from down the hall.]

[heads down the hall]

Hello?

[The hall is even more drenched in blood, by the way. It's sprayed up the walls, pooled on the floor in spots, and foot prints are tracked over and through it, all leading down to a pair of doors near the end.]

[The voices are coming from the further of the two doors, but they fall quiet when Bella speaks up. Hesitantly, a boy calls out]

Who's there?

[oh no this is too much blood for that tiny little scarf D:]

I'm Bella! The Greeter told me I could help clean up in here. . .

[The owner of that voice pokes his head out the door. It's . . . Kit? His uniform is a light blue though, more vibrant than Celeste's color.]

This mess is too big to clean up.

[!]

Oh! Aren't you that boy on one of the new teams? Iris!

[He frowns, confused and more than a little troubled]

Never heard of Iris.

No. . .? It's one of the twelve teams in the art gallery.

[head tilt]

Though I don't recognize that shade of blue, either. It's not Iris, and it's definitely not Celeste

[His expression goes blank, hiding whatever he's feeling.]

What gallery? This is Aquarius.

The art gallery. . . [trails off, visibly confused]

Um, nevermind. Are you sure I can't help you clean up in here? The Greeter told me to ask Yayoi. . .

[Something flickers over his face, but he throws up a smile to cover it.]

Yayoi's resting. I don't think she'd mind if you wanted to try.

. . . I'd like to try. If you don't mind?

I don't mind . . . There are probably some towels you can use in the closet.

[gestures at the veeery end of the hall. It's not so much a closet as some shelving set into the narrow back wall. A pile of thin looking towels takes up one shelf, all in Aquarius blue.]

Thank you! I'll give it my best shot.

[nods at him, before scurrying off to the closet to grab some towels]

[Towel get! . . . It really doesn't seem like even a towel will be enough of a match for the hallway.]

[. . . no, it doesn't :( but she is determined! Starts. . . attempting to mop things up]

[You manage to make it through one of the puddles before the towel is nearly soaked through, leaving streaks of blood where it touches]

[noooo :( heads towards the basin again, filling it with water and dumping the towel inside to let it soak]

[grabs another towel and works through another puddle. repeats the above process until she's all out of towels]

[The hall does look better! Most of the puddles are just streaks now, but there's still spatter on the wall and footprints and streaks everywhere . . .]

[sadly she is out of cloths to clean that up]

[heads towards the closer of the two doors (the one the voices weren't coming from) and takes a peek in that room]
