[it hurts to move at all even though he wants to wave her away so his protest gets cut off by pained noises and swearing

the fire literally disintegrated a huge part of his pantleg, so the burn, which stretched from his upper thigh to halfway down his shin is almost completely exposed. it's extremely blistered, bloody, and some parts just above his knee look like they might be third-degree.]
