What a great informative fucking message. Do we agree, ask who their fucking hostage is, tell them our hostage is someone well liked, or what?

We could ask for more information, since, they can respond again.

They got six and only used three. A shot at hiding their identity, too?

Isn't it better to remain vague, in this?

It depends on the risk. People like us should hedge on being vague so no one goes 'fuck, it's Celeste', but a more popular team could hedge on getting a friendly team.

There's plenty of room for 'I'm so and so' if they wanted people to trust them based on who they are. Being vague is a benefit if you have enemies, no real friends or are paranoid as fuck.

Right. If we pretend to be another team we run a one in eleven risk of hitting 'Wait, we're that team.' But if we can fake sounding like another team without outright stating it, really obviously...

Based on our little notebook, Iris probably doesn't have any outstanding enemies and has a few friends, everyone and their dog seems to hide at Sage including Canary so there might be debts to call in, and Shell might have damaged their own standings with the burning zombie party but they're still 'trustworthy'.

Sage is pretty fucking unlikely to call in debts, and it's hard to fake in six goddamn words. But what are we putting here, we need to fucking think about that. Let's skip this shit and go to the message working out part:

"Okay. Won't let it win. Hostage?"

Exactly on the fucking mark for word count, Sage sentiment.

Do we really, have to use Sage, as who we are pretending to be.

We have to be able to fake it in six words without outright naming ourselves. Sage is obvious, and it's not like we're fucking them over, so why does it matter? We're just borrowing some of their reputation.

They would say that, minus the hostage part. So, get rid of that, if you are actually going to try to be them.

"Okay. We won't let it win!" Fits in six words and doesn't look purposefully vague.

Then, use that.

Did I say explicitly that we're Sage anywhere? They're the easiest fucking team to fake. If they're mislead, it's their own fault.

They would not actually ask for the hostage, though, and if it is a team that knows Sage well, they will know something is off. If you are trying to be them.
