[Today, scaled talons reach out and grab each of the Celestes in turn, pulling them into Dragon's cave. Dragon itself is there, lounging on the floor, the bones of animals strewn all around. It surveys them lazily.]

Celeste. I have a proposition for you.

We are making the dragon happy so it doesn't eat us. If we do it well enough we might even get a reputation for being useful to the people in charge and I'd rather be pet torturer than snack food. No team supports us. We go in fair and we just get eaten. I want every team to go 'if we fuck Celeste over, they might be in charge next game. If we play nice, we get favoritism.'

The dragon is a sadist. We are not getting away with aggressive hugging and mean words the competition.

So -- we don't have to make it all fun and games, but we can find something in between.
