Who: Celeste and Dragon
When: Day 11, morningish
Where: Dragon's portrait
What:

[Today, scaled talons reach out and grab each of the Celestes in turn, pulling them into Dragon's cave. Dragon itself is there, lounging on the floor, the bones of animals strewn all around. It surveys them lazily.]

Celeste. I have a proposition for you.

[r-rubbing at his temple]

It wouldn't work...

How about some of the supplies have teammate's names above them? Like... a pile of meat, and that teammate is mysteriously missing.

A: Wow, you must think everyone here is more of a moron than I do, if you think they won't catch wise.

B: How the fuck do we mysteriously vanish people? We're running this, but I don't see us being granted special powers.

C: what. I don't even understand what you fucking mean, here.

-- I don't know, we can figure the first two parts out!

I mean.. make them think they're cooking their teammates. But they're actually cook them.

That wouldn't work would it. Ah... Maybe they have to choose the one to be "eaten", first, and we hide them and then present the meat...

So we're making them make side-dishes?

How about this: cook your fucking best! If it's good enough, the dragon will take it as a replacement for your teammate. If not, the dragon will just eat your teammate! Out of the teams that are the worst cooks, other teams have to pick which fucker the dragon will find tastiest.

It sounds simpler. And.. involves less cannibalism, even if it's just fake cannibalism.

I'm fine with it if the others are.

So you want us to personally kill and butcher people, skin them, and then make their team mates cook them. Are you drunk and high?

So you want us to kill animals, somehow get enough meat to simulate a bunch of humans, somehow get it into a portrait, somehow hide people chosen in said portrait which oh happens to just be a fucking cliff and a giant dragon, all while somehow pleasing the gigantic hungry sadist dragon who knows what actual people taste like.

Really. How. Drunk. Are. You.

We already are. And guess what! As long as anyone can justify sacrificing us for 'better people', we will be a target. No one is going to hold hands with us when they can use us a scapegoat.

It's not like how they see us is set in stone. We -- can still change it, can't we? I don't want us to be the scapegoat anymore.

Re: GAME PLANNING

[personal profile] remarch 2012-11-15 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Why would they? I mean it. Your choices to kill are a team you like and know, and a team with a bad reputation. Knowing both just means you choose between two teams you like. Not bothering to learn about the bad guys means you don't have to dwell or check your conscience, or even worry about other teams judging your choices.

There's always going to be a need for gutter trash and an easy option.

[personal profile] counterfating 2012-11-15 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
If the teams like us, then there's less of a chance of us being an "easy option". Even if it's just a few -- wouldn't that be enough to sway an opinion, at least?

Someone else -- another team can be gutter trash. I don't want us to be targets.

[personal profile] remarch 2012-11-15 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Tell me how. How do we get another team so slandered they sink beneath us, and oh wait, no, that won't work because after this everyone's going to think we're allied with team art. Not that we would have been able to turn the opinion anyway because why would any team risk sinking beneath us?

[personal profile] remarch 2012-11-15 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Strategy A: we reject the dragon's proposal, get eaten again, spend every game after trying to get alliances while being the targets with every team aware if we move up someone they already like if not themselves moves down. With nothing to actually offer in an alliance to anyone. Oh and another team likely gets this deal and starts running games against us at the same time. With no actual plan on how to do this.

Strategy B: we accept, we do it well, we may get to skip other games too if other portraits offer, we can offer an alliance from a position of power and we make everyone too frightened to use us as their pinata.

Explain option 'let's get tortured repeatedly with no plan based on vague ideals of friendship in a competition where everyone's fighting for something so important we gave up memories and abilities and maybe our lives' to your master, why don't you? You want to pitch that to him?
