Teal

Rules:
-Each team is dealt a hand of four cards. Each card has a point value between 1 and 10 and an attack.

-Each team will pick one card to play, and their first, second, and third choice of which team for the card to be played on.

-There is a 12 point limit on what cards will actually be accepted. Cards with higher values will be accepted first. After 12, the only cards that will be accepted are one with a matching point value. (e.g. if the highest card submitted is an 8, it will be accepted. If the next highest card submitted is a 7, and three 7s are submitted, all 7s will be accepted, but nothing lower than a 7 will be accepted).

-Only cards which are accepted will have their attacks carried out.

-Teams that have their cards accepted are protected from the attacks of other teams. If a team's first choice is protected, the card goes to their second choice.

-Teams whose cards go through also will not have to participate in the possible second round, should the game require one.

[You find that once the robot has moved away you cannot see or hear the other teams.

Your robot hands you four large, heavy stock cardboard cards, each with a point value and attack on it. You also get a black card, and a sharpie to write your choices on.]

No. They won't.

They'll win, like every other time, and get rewarded for being bloodthirsty animals.

. . .

[GOES OVER TO HER]

That won't happen all the time. Okay, I don't actually know Celeste. For all I know, they are planning to play the worst cards on every team they dislike just for the hell of it. Proobably even us, from what I'm judging.

But that doesn't mean you ever need to sink down to their level. There's a time for drastic measures, and times where you should just hang back. There will be more games, and we'll win them. You don't have to hope for a terrible one like this just for memories.

They're pretty much all bad.

And they killed Coco last time, when there was no reason to. We always hang back and we always, always get hurt for it.

[GONNA TALK TO YOU ANYWAY. sitting with]

We'll just have to figure out a way to change those results.

I heard something about that. What was the game like? Do you know why they decided to do it?

[ mrrgghhhhhhhhh ]

...we told them who we were, and who was hostage to get hurt. They knew we were Teal, and that it was Coco, and even though they said we would trust each other they killed her anyway.

They just said it was part of the contest. And that we were sore losers. [ because I stabbed Bunny. :V ]

Some sort of trust game. . .

So you're mostly angry that they betrayed your trust--and rightfully so. I'm not sure why you would trust them completely to begin with, but.
fishpanties: (It's a long road.)

[personal profile] fishpanties 2013-02-23 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
[. . . speaking up quietly from -> over there]

Only three people died in that game. If both teams mutually trusted each other, they got burned. If both teams betrayed, they lost an arm.

[slowly scoots closer.]

The teams who betrayed others were idiots. That's why I would've been okay with an eight, even if I hate it—because teams are going to play harder than they should.

[personal profile] deretsune 2013-02-23 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
There was a way to keep people from dying, and they wouldn't take it! It doesn't matter whose trust they betrayed. They just want any excuse to kill anybody.

So fuck them. They don't deserve Coco's kindness or anybody else's. If they want to play hard, I'm not giving an inch.

[personal profile] onlygoodlawyeris 2013-02-23 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
(That sounds. . .like a really stupid game.)

Neither of those options are okay--! Ugh.

If you hate something, why do it? There isn't any reason to inflict harm on others solely for the sake of "winning." Mind you, I want my memories back just as badly as any of you, but playing hard doesn't guarantee our safety this time around.

As for Celeste, no, they don't deserve anything. But they're sounding more and more like a crazy group that would just LOVE another excuse to be. . .well, cray. Let's just forget about it, and don't give them another reason to even think of Teal.
fishpanties: (Saddest side-eyeing.)

[personal profile] fishpanties 2013-02-23 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
[plops down to sit in front of you guys.]

. . . [to tiramisu] Because we're a team. Mochi and Vanilla let me have my say. As long as they keep doing that, I'll let them have theirs.

And my say is . . . I will never play to win—I don't care about the memories. But . . . As long as we're not going too far, I'd rather play to survive. We've died too many times. [lets out a breath] You can guarantee that Celeste will have played the highest card they have. On either us or Iris, I think. If it's us and it goes through, ours might not—and we won't be protected from anybody.

But as long as their highest card isn't the ten, we won't die. We might have some injuries.

[personal profile] deretsune 2013-02-23 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
I care about my memories! The problem is that there's-- there's no way to play to survive if we don't play at least a little hard. The only time Celeste ever gets hurt is if people play hard back and nobody does! And they just get away with everything and gloat because they won by being vicious assholes--
